Question: What is theres MORE to the story?

John 6:24-25 - when the crowd saw that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they got into the boats and went across to Capernaum to look for him. They found him on the other side of the lake and asked, Rabbi, when did you get here?

What was this crowd like?

They were a 1. Seeking. 2. Misguided. 3. Murmuring.

   4. Confused. 5. Departing. crowd.

What if we, like the crowd, also approach Jesus with false expectations? Heres a couple of ideas:

  1. I expect Jesus to make my life easier.
  2. I expect Jesus to save me, but not to have authority.

John 6:68 - Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

BOTTOM LINE: What Jesus wants to do is ALWAYS better than what we want him to do
