A good reputation is more valuable than costly perfume. And the day you die is better than the day you are born. Better to spend your time at funerals than at parties. After all, everyone dies— so the living should take this to heart. Sorrow is better than laughter, for sadness has a refining influence on us. HOW DO WE GET WISDOM?

How much better to get wisdom than gold, and good judgment than silver!     Proverbs 16:16 (NLT)

The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. Cherish her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you.    Proverbs 4:7–8 (NIV)

1. FEAR GOD

That’s the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone’s duty.      Ecclesiastes 12:13 (NLT)

2. ASK GOD

Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. Then you will understand what it means to fear the LORD, and you will gain knowledge of God. For the LORD grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding.    Proverbs 2:3–6 (NLT)

3. TRUST GOD

Accept the way God does things, for who can straighten what he has made crooked?  Ecclesiastes 7:13 (NLT)

BOTTOM LINE: Wisdom is FOUND by those most DETERMINED to find it.
