Impact - Week Three - Tithing
NOTES
The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.
1. PLAN your generosity.
But generous people plan to do what is generous, and they stand firm in their generosity.
2. Trust God with the TITHE.
A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the LORD; it is holy to the LORD.
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
3. Start being generous TODAY.
And I am praying that you will put into action the generosity that comes from your faith as you understand and experience all the good things we have in Christ.
Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.
BOTTOM LINE: It takes faith to give FIRST. It doesn’t take faith to give what’s LEFT.
THE CHALLENGE: Take the tithing challenge.
