Becoming Unhurried - Week Four

Make it your ambition to live a quiet life…”

1 Thessalonians 4:11

1. SLOW DOWN TO CATCH UP TO YOURSELF.

I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me. But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content.

Psalm 131:1-2

2. SLOW DOWN TO CATCH UP TO OTHERS

Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. Then he said to her, Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.

Luke 8:47-48

3. SLOW DOWN TO CATCH UP TO JESUS.

One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus feet and thanked himand he was a Samaritan.  Jesus asked, Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner? Then he said to him, Rise and go; your faith has made you well.

Luke 17:15-19

BOTTOM LINE: The only way to CATCH UP is to SLOW DOWN

THE CHALLENGE:

Slow Down on purpose once a day.
