Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: July 13, 2026
Welcome to Corinth Christian Church ("the Church," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, mobile app, text messaging, online giving platform, and participation in our in-person and online ministries, events, and volunteer programs (together, the "Services").
By using our website, opting in to our communications, or taking part in our ministries, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.
1. Digital Content & Website Use
- Permitted use. Our digital platforms exist to share the Gospel, build community, and manage church administration. Use them only for lawful, faith-based purposes.
- Intellectual property. Sermons, livestreams, original music, graphics, articles, and logos belong to Corinth Christian Church and are protected by copyright. You may stream, download, and share our media for personal or small-group use, but not sell or repurpose it without written permission.
- User-contributed content. If you post prayer requests, comments, or join a community forum on our platforms, don't post anything defamatory, offensive, or private about others. We may moderate or remove any content at our discretion.
2. Financial Stewardship & Online Giving
- Secure processing. Online tithes, offerings, and donations are processed through Planning Center, using Stripe as the underlying payment processor. We don't store credit card details on our servers.
- Refunds. Charitable contributions are generally non-refundable, consistent with tax law and standard church accounting. If you believe a processing error occurred — for example, a mistyped amount — contact the church office within 14 days.
3. Communication Terms (Email & Text)
By giving us your contact information, you agree to receive communications from us as described below. You can manage or revoke that consent at any time.
A. Email
- Consent. Creating an account, filling out a connection card, registering for an event, or signing up on our website means you agree to receive email from us — newsletters, ministry updates, giving receipts, and administrative notices.
- Frequency. Our church-wide newsletter goes out monthly. Beyond that, frequency depends on which ministries, groups, or teams you're part of — most send updates on a weekly basis.
- Opting out. Every newsletter or informational email includes an "Unsubscribe" or "Manage Preferences" link. Use it to leave a specific list or all communications.
- Transactional email. Even after unsubscribing from newsletters, you'll still receive transactional email — event confirmations, giving statements, password resets.
B. Text Messaging (SMS)
- Consent. Giving us your mobile number and opting in — by web form, keyword, or paper sign-up — means you consent to informational, pastoral, event, and emergency texts. Consent is voluntary and never required for membership.
- Frequency & rates. Message frequency depends on the ministries you join. Message and data rates may apply.
- Opting out. Text STOP to (907) 341-4216 to cancel. You'll get one final confirmation text, then no further messages.
- Help. Text HELP for assistance, or reach us at info@corinth.cc.
4. Ministries, Events & Child Safety
- Child and youth safety. Parents or guardians must register children for children's ministry and follow our check-in/check-out process. Volunteers working with minors go through screening and background checks under our Child Protection Policy.
- Event registration and fees. Cancellation and refund terms for conferences, camps, or trips are listed on that event's signup page.
- Code of conduct. We expect everyone — attendees, volunteers, and members — to treat one another with dignity, respect, and kindness.
5. Media Release (Photography & Filming)
- Public services. Our worship services and larger public events are often livestreamed, recorded, or photographed. Attending in person means your image, likeness, or voice may appear in our broadcasts, social media, or promotional materials.
- Opting out. If you'd rather not be filmed, tell an usher or staff member before the service and we'll point you to no-film seating.
- Minors. We take extra care with children. We won't publish close-up, identifiable photos or video of minors from children's ministry environments without a parent's explicit consent.
6. Volunteer Guidelines
If you serve on a volunteer team — greeting, production, worship, hospitality, or otherwise:
- You agree to follow the Church's volunteer handbook and leadership honor code.
- Volunteering doesn't create an employment relationship.
- Roles involving finances, youth, or counseling require a background check and required training.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
- "As-is" service. Our digital Services are provided as-is. We can't guarantee the website or app will always be free of downtime or technical issues.
- Pastoral guidance disclaimer. Spiritual encouragement, prayer, and pastoral guidance from our staff or volunteers are for spiritual growth and support. They are not a substitute for professional legal, medical, or mental health care.
- Limitation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Church, its elders, officers, and employees are not liable for damages arising from your participation in our digital or in-person Services.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as our ministries change. When we do, we'll update the Effective Date at the top of this page. Continuing to use our Services after an update means you accept the new Terms.
